Abigail Howell is a doctoral student in molecular and cellular biology at Arizona State University, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2017. She is studying mutations in ciliates and the compression of genomic datasets. Abigail has been engaged in education outreach since high school through the program Science Is Fun and greatly enjoys developing new demonstrations and lesson plans to get kids excited about science.
