Britt Miller joined NCSE in 2025 after more than a decade of experience in K–12 education as a teacher, instructional coach, curriculum developer, and researcher. She holds a doctorate in science education research and educational psychology, a master’s degree in elementary education, and a bachelor’s degree in experimental psychology. Miller’s work focuses on supporting educators in teaching accurate and authentic science, emphasizing the use of evidence and reasoning while addressing common misconceptions. Her research has explored teacher learning, scientific argumentation, and pedagogical content knowledge in science education. She is deeply committed to fostering learning environments that promote student agency, real-world application, and inclusive engagement in science.
