Along with being a teacher, Turtle Haste is also a NASA Endeavor Fellow and a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Planet Steward.  She is a National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certified Teacher and was chosen by the National Association of Geoscience Teachers as New Mexico’s Outstanding Earth Science Teacher in 2017. In pursuit of becoming a better teacher, Haste has traveled the world through the NOAA Teacher at Sea and the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program.
