John F. Haught is Distinguished Research Professor at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He was formerly Professor in the Department of Theology, and Chair, also at Georgetown University. His area of specialization is systematic theology, with a particular interest in issues pertaining to science, cosmology, evolution, ecology, and religion. He testified for the plaintiffs in Kitzmiller v. Dover, the 2005 case establishing the unconstitutionality of teaching "intelligent design" creationism in the public schools. He is also the author of 22 books.
