NCSE's Reid on KPFA's Sunday Show

NCSE's executive director Ann Reid engaged in a wide-ranging conversation (beginning at the 1:05:30 mark) with Philip Maldari on KPFA's Sunday Show on March 22, 2020. After discussing NCSE's mission and activities, Reid and Maldari pivoted to discuss the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and its similarities to the 1918 influenza pandemic. (Earlier in her career, Reid was part of the team that sequenced the virus responsible for the 1918 influenza.) They also discussed the state of climate change education in California and nationally. Throughout, Reid emphasized the need to understand and appreciate evidence, in public health as well as in science education.
