The Hawaii House of Representatives voted to adopt House Resolution 81 and the identical House Concurrent Resolution 87, which urge the Hawaii department of education to "establish an annual Climate Week in all public schools across the State to spread climate awareness, education, and participation in sustainability initiatives" and request it to "collaborate with environmental organizations and policymakers to develop an opportunity for interactive climate action and support student-led initiatives that result in positive climate action," on March 27, 2025. HCR 87 now proceeds to the Senate for its consideration.
