A bill to establish Maryland Climate Education Week

Maryland's House Bill 993 (PDF) would, if enacted, require the state's governor annually to proclaim the first week of April as Maryland Climate Education Week.

The proclamation would urge the state's residents to "participate in educational activities and initiatives that promote an awareness of climate change" and "take action toward the State's climate commitments."

Introduced by Dana Stein (D-District 11B), on February 5, House Bill 993 was assigned to the House Health and Government Operations committee.
